NYLEXOGRIP cohesive compression bandages - Urgo
Nylexogrip is a cohesive elastic compression bandage indicated in sports traumatology, for the prevention of accidents such as sprains, dislocations and subluxations, and for the treatment of strains and pulls.
But that's not all, it can also be used to hold dressings in place.
Nylexogrip is a breathable and conformable strip that adheres only to itself , not to skin or hair. It can be torn without scissors, making it very easy to use.
Its practical advantage: the band is also washable up to 2 times and therefore reusable!
Instructions for use:
1. To avoid a tourniquet effect, do not apply the bandage with too much tension and unroll 20 to 30 cm of bandage before each turn.
2. Apply a first complete turn over the part of the body to be protected, then a second turn completely covering the first .
3. Continue bandaging so that each new turn covers approximately half the area of the band from the previous turn.
4. To ensure the bandage stays in place, the last turn should not touch the skin but completely cover the previous turn. It should be applied without tension. If necessary, trim the excess bandage by hand (no scissors required).
5. Finish the bandage by pressing the end of the strip with the palm of your hand for a few seconds
6. Interview:
– Wash by hand or machine at a maximum of 40°C, with a regular detergent.
– Rinse and leave to dry flat.
– Once the strip is completely dry, roll it back up on itself and store it in a clean, dry place away from light .
Precautions for use:
- Do not wash the strip more than twice to avoid damaging it.
- Never place the strip directly on damaged skin (risk of infection and/or delay in the healing process).
- The band should not be stretched to its maximum to avoid creating a tourniquet effect. The embossing of the band should always remain visible.
- If discomfort occurs, reduce the applied tension.
- In phlebology, the bandage should be applied before getting up – starting at the toes, going up the leg – and kept until bedtime.
- In case of prolonged or repeated use, the elastic threads may be weakened by the use of fatty substances under the bandage.
- Treatment of traumatic and phlebitic pathologies with Nylexogrip must be supervised by a healthcare professional.
To minimize any risk of infection or skin reactions:
- Follow the instructions for use carefully.
- Do not apply to the eyes, thin skin, or mucous membranes. Do not use after the expiry date printed on the box . Do not use a damaged or contaminated product.
Contraindications:
Do not use the tape in the following cases:
- Allergy to latex or another component
- Low blood pressure (< 8 mmHg peak)
- Stage III and IV sprains (risk of thrombosis, ischemia)
- Infectious ulceration
Do not use on areas of the body with:
- An arterial pathology (microangiopathy related to diabetes, arterial ulcers or ulcers with a strong arterial component; proven or suspected arteriopathy: risk of thrombosis, ischemia).
